How good
is your security?
The British Chambers of Commerce have started a campaign to encourage
small businesses to tighten up their security after a report found
that 61% had experienced computer related crimes in 2002.
The Chamber
has recently published an ICT report which indicates that 67%
of firms are concerned about the security aspects of doing business
electronically.
Microsoft is
working with the Chamber of Commerce to back the eSecurity Campaign.
Its purpose, through a series of events and seminars, is to highlight
some of the risks for small businesses and help develop a plan
to protect their commercial integrity and business assets.
Microsoft has addressed this particular concern in their product
Microsoft® Small Business Server by incorporating ISA Server
2000. Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server
2000 is a multi layer, scalable and configurable firewall with
a web cache that provides secure, fast and manageable Internet
connectivity. It has built-in intelligent filtering of HTTP, FTP,
SMTP, streaming media and more. It helps filter out email that
contains unwanted keywords or file attachments. It provides protection
for remote Outlook users where there is no VPN and identifies
and responds to common network attacks by detecting intruders
and providing alerts. ISA Server gives small businesses total
peace of mind on this challenging issue.
